I know that cip connections are used by I/O and message instructions. Is there somewhere I can look to see how many connections are used in my program?

With the AB processors, each ethernet device (PLC, EN2T, etc) has a web page. You can access that page by typing in the IP address in a browser. If you go to the device web page and click on diagnostics and then on module diagnostics you should see the CIP usage count there. There is a ton of information available on the web page.
