Using my AB Micrologix 1000 trainer PLC- The Advanced diagnostics button never seems to highlighted to be able to click it ? Also this happens when I want to add a new program file.

I've looked around to see if there is something that I have missed, but I cant find any Advanced diagnostics (AD) button. I have always just gone to the search menu or used CTRL-D. With this, even if I create a new program something comes up in the AD list. Do you mean that it doesnt show up as folders in the program files listing? If this is the problem, you may need to check your settings under menu Tools/Options and make sure the "Integrate Advanced diagnostic into project tree" checkbox is checked.

I do mean in the search menu, it's there but, some of the functions are black, and a few are faded , and they wont allow you to press them. Maybe it's my RS 500 "Micro-lite" software. doesn't allow it ? Is there a way I can make you attachments on here ? I can show you what the screen looks like.

Sorry we don't currently have a way to attach files in the forum. I know what you mean about being greyed out on the menus. I don't have a pc with micro-lite in the office today so I cant check to see if that is the issue. I'll look at that when I can get a hold of that computer. Can you select the option to integrate it into the project tree as mentioned before?

"Can you select the option to integrate it into the project tree as mentioned before?" NO, that's what I was trying for.
