Need to get around your program quickly? During startup conditions it is helpful to be able to move around your program to view or edit quickly. The first important step is program modules, program modules, program modules! Subdivide that program so that it is easy to understand and get around in. Advanced Diagnostics in the RSLogix500 and RSLogix5 will allow you to move to different locations in your program quickly and efficiently. By properly setting up page descriptions throughout your program, you can arrive at just about any location in your program in seconds. Check out the video on this site that concerns Advanced Diagnostics. It is extremely underused - even by experienced programmers - and it is a great tool. Now why isn't it in RSLogix5000??? Well possibly because with the task, program and routine structure in the 5000, you can subdivide your program into easily found modules just with those structures.
